What the monthly retainer covers

Every month, our retainer covers four things: technical SEO, on-page optimization, content, and reporting. On the technical side, we handle site health, structured data, indexing, and the plugin configuration that keeps search engines reading your site correctly. For clients on WordPress, that means SEOPress Pro. It is the SEO plugin we standardize on across every WordPress site we manage, because it lets us configure and monitor SEO consistently across a whole portfolio of client sites instead of relearning a different tool for every account. On-page work covers titles, meta descriptions, headings, and internal linking across both new and existing pages. Content means we are regularly adding or refreshing pages and posts that target the terms your customers are actually searching. Reporting means you get a clear, monthly look at what we did and how the site is trending, not a black box you have to take our word for.

The one-time setup: what you own, what we run

Before the monthly work starts, there is a short setup step that happens once per site, and part of it has to come from you. Because Google requires proof of ownership, you are the one who creates and verifies your Google Search Console property, the tool that shows how your site actually performs in search. You will also set up your GA4 property, Google’s analytics platform, and share the measurement ID with us, along with submitting your sitemap inside Search Console. Once those pieces exist, we take it from there. Our monthly technical work, on-page optimization, content, and reporting all run through those same accounts, so what you see in our reports reflects what is actually happening in Google, not a guess.

Why this is ongoing work, not a one-time fix

There is no plugin setting or single fix that locks in rankings. Search rankings move because of sustained technical health, content that keeps growing, and local signals that build over time, and that only happens with consistent monthly work. We will not hand you an exact timeline or promise a specific ranking, and you should be wary of any agency that does. What we will do is show up every month, do the technical and content work that actually moves the needle, and give you honest reporting on where things stand. That honesty is part of the value. We would rather tell you SEO takes time than sell you a number we cannot back up.
