Standing Pine Media is a web design and development studio based in Carthage, Mississippi. We build for businesses across the state, from asphalt contractors to churches to specialty manufacturers, and for clients outside Mississippi who found us and liked how we work. The location shapes the client list. It doesn't limit it.

Why "Standing Pine"

A standing pine holds its ground through weather that takes down everything around it. That's the standard we hold a website to: not just good-looking on launch day, but still fast, secure, and easy to maintain a year later. A lot of small-business websites get built once and then quietly rot: outdated plugins, broken forms, nobody answering when something breaks. We built this agency to be the opposite of that.

No account managers, no outsourced dev team

When you work with Standing Pine Media, you work directly with the person designing and building your site. There's no layer of account managers relaying messages to an offshore dev team. That means fewer miscommunications, faster turnaround, and someone who actually knows your site when you call with a question six months after launch.

Two stacks, picked for the job

Most client sites run on WordPress, because most clients want to log in and edit their own content without calling us every time. We build on Astra child themes with custom PHP templates, never a bloated page builder, so the site stays fast and the client isn't locked into software they didn't choose. For businesses that don't need a CMS, mainly lead-generation and catalog sites, we build on Astro: fully static, no database to get hacked, and about as fast as a website can be.

This site is one of them. We hold our own site to the same bar we hold client sites to: real content, self-hosted fonts, optimized images, and a clean SEO foundation from day one. If you're curious what that looks like in practice, that's a good place to start looking.

How we get paid

Design and build work is a flat project fee, agreed before we start, so there are no surprise invoices partway through. After launch, most clients move to a monthly care plan (hosting, updates, and content changes handled for them) and often an SEO or digital marketing retainer on top of it.
